News - FCKeditor and others

Post non-phpwcms related topics here - but I don't want to see "hey check this or that other cms". Post if you have a point or worthwhile comment, don't post just to increase you post count!

Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 released, nice! Just downloaded it (trial 30 days) and starting to use it:
I remember loving dreamweaver a couple of years ago before the rise of css, since then it has lost a lot of its attractivness to my eyes... (also code handling is less cool because codes change ;) but I got used to it so I kept using it more by habit, not because I was convinced it was a good tool and got lazy about learning another one...

SO WHAT'S IMPROVED?
The new version is cool:
- it's CSS features (like in photoshop with rulers and guidelines) are almost 100% wysiwyg (aaaah, relief).
- the code, nice now you can open/close "folders", say a div for exmaple and a span, nicer cose you don't have to "count" manually where you stared and where the tag finishes.

Not cool: like Firefox (which i love), it "eats" a lot of RAM...

Anyway, this is NOT advertising, just me sharing some thoughts about this new release (was about time they did something with css btw!)

Cheers

Windows patch

Post by Kosse »

Hi all,
for windows users:
Seems important enough to have microsoft release a patch before they normally do, a security flaw has been discovered with wmf files (btw, who the fuck uses .wmf :?: lol) anyway here's the story:
http://news.zdnet.com/2100-1009-6020070.html

The patch:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/securi ... 6-001.mspx

Otherwise, wait for the monthly patch, they proly will include it within.
Cheers
