This week I am mostly wishing for...

a drop list of newsletters (all htm files within a given dir) which would work just like 'templates'. A set of tags (in addtition to the existing ones) that define where the content goes e.g. {BODY} {FOOTER} {USER1} etc.

my reasoning for this is that most newsletters follow a single design and this would limit the 'fuck-up effect' or 'human error' to just the text rather than the code.

Althought this is not a 'perfect solution', it is one worthy of exploration. The FCK editor supports the importing of templates, so in principle you could create different ones and insert them via the templates button in editor....the file to be edited would be fcktemplates.xml and it suppotts thumbnails (no brainer for client) of a given template, a nice plus....

Just a thought...
