Hi,
I have an 1.2.3 installation with some hundred newsletter subscribers. When I send a test to my email-address everything works fine. When I try to send it to the subscriber's list nothing happens. (Nothing gets sent and no dotted line moves across the window...)
Any ideas? (this installation was recently updated from 1.1.x to 1.2.3
Thanks a lot

Hi
first I would prefer to Update to 1.2.5 first - there are less Bug's in
have you done all Database-Upgrades - Step-by-Step ?
don't use the 'old' conf.inc.php - there are some new Parameters in the 'new' one
Compare the Mailsettings with the 'old' conf.inc.php
I have no Probs with 1.2.5DEV as far as I see.

Hi Macangelo
The problem I noticed (using 1.2.5) is this:
From my PC: with:
FireFox:
YES: I can send to subscribers
Internet Explorer: NO: I can't send to subscribers
From my Mac OSX: with:
FireFox: NO: I can't send to subscribers
Internet Explorer: not tested
Netscape: NO: I can't send to subscribers
The problem I have presently is:
Most of my customers are sadly using IE.
Most of them (agencies employees) don't know how to install FireFox.
IE is being forced on them.

I´m using 1.25 DEV and discovered this problem:
To send a newsletter directly to subscribers fails.
For me it just works this way (tested with Firefox):
1st send newsletter to an test mail adress. Then click on cancel, remove the adress in the test adress field and click on "send" again.
Then the newsletter is sent to all subscribers without any problems.

Hi,
same problem.
When I send a test to my email-address everything works fine. When I try to send it to the subscriber's list nothing happens. (Nothing gets sent and no dotted line moves across the window...)
Same workaround.
For me it just works this way (tested with Firefox):
1st send newsletter to an test mail adress. Then click on cancel, remove the adress in the test adress field and click on "send" again.
Then the newsletter is sent to all subscribers without any problems.
And it works like a short timechannel for sending e-mail, opening by a manual push.
Is this a bug, or a feature?
I will test it by another provider.

I have been able to reproduce this:

Appolo2000's procedure to send newsletter is working for me where it was not working before.
Thanks for the hint Appolo2000

Hi,
I can't send newsletters, too. When I read this thread I was hoping this would solve my problem but it doesn't.
I can send the newsletter to the test email - but not to the subscribers. I don't get an error message, too. It just gets stuck...
Any ideas what else might be the problem?
I am using V 1.25 DEV and tried different browsers.
Thanks,
Thomas

Hi Splette,
The only thing I would see is...
are you sure you have validated subscribers?
Validated :
Not validated:

ahh! This icon is supposed to be green?
I didn't know validation is enabled by default. But that explains everything, I guess
Thanks a lot, Studio!
