after restructuring site - articles will not shown

Hi folks,

after a sitewide restructuring, articles (which were move to the new levels) will not shown. Why. In Backend i see this articles , editing is possible.
By pressing the previewlink in Backend, a new window with index.php appears. By pressing normal menulinks in Frontend,i'll see the indexpage too.

Cleared the cache, allready.

A strange thing:there is one level not moved, the articles in it will shown normally. So i guess the problem is the restructuring of the levels. But what's happen.

I've deleted some categories with a special aliasnames (e.g. complex1,complex2). after that I tried to give new categories these aliases. But the system renamed these aliasnames in complex1_sfs;and so on. But i don't want that.Is it posible the fix this?

Have a short look at:http://www.uni-leipzig.de/~skisport/index.php?index --> Themenkomplexe --> Biathlon und Skilanglauf --> link

thanks. le block

Hi

look into your Database - there are the deleted Structures only marked as trash=9 - so the name cant' used once more - delete the entries with a 9 in the trash Field - after that you're able to use the Names again.

Hi Pico. thanks a lot!
I've deleted the rows in the sql-table and it works.

But the article problem is still unsolved. I did a little 'trial and error' an dnoticed that all articles in the 3rd level will not shown (means the index.php will shown). All articles in 2nd level works fine: See the image.

The popuparticles,"Leistungsnachweise", Test will shown. The articles beneath (e.g. "Allgemeine Grundlagen") will not shown.
Is this a system-thing ? Only 2 levels? Whats the problem?

I've had a short look in the doku, but the doku is in update-process and "article-organizing" is not available.

Thanks for helping. le block

I hope I'm not too annoying.

But i need a little info for a very important university-project.
Is it possible to use more than 3 levels in depht? Are articles allowed only in the upper two structure-levels? And how to fix the Problem?

thanks for helping. le block

Look a the screenshot above. All articles in the 3rd level (eg. 1,2.1,2.2,...)
will not shown, but test (2nd level) works fine

just a thought:

dis you set your number of articles in structure menu high enough?

this might be a reason why deeper levels will not be shown?

hi cyrano

Surely mistyped (dis). What do you mean with:
dis you set your number of articles in structure menu high enough?

le block

Ahh, kombiniere, kombiniere : Did you set....
Aber wo soll ich denn die Anzahl der Artikel hochsetzten ? Es werden wohl um die 90 Artikel werden.

in site structure in backend go to the structure level where are more then 2 levels, click on edit and check what number of articles are defined there?

standard is "-1", set this value to a higher number, for e.g. to 50.

i think it depends aso on another problem, but check this to know it isn't this one.

I'll give this a try. But at the moment the uniserver is down.

I thought this variable shows the number of the articles not collapsed in the article listing? -1 = all collapsed-only articletitle; 5= the first five articles shows with articletitle and "schlagtext". Am i wrong?

with kind regards

By the way: your flashgalery 'tannkosh' looks very nice! selfdeveloped?

Nope, that wasn't the glue.

the url of the new popup window (by pressing a preview link of a "hidden" article in Backend) seems to be OK.
...index.php?id=35,13,0,1,0,0 --> 35 = structureleve (3rd depht), 13 =articleID. I've checked this in Backend.

But why shows the new window, the startpage and not the regular errorpage from the template?

Strange things happen... :?

I know there is a thread in the forum, showing the interpretation of the rewrited url (index.php?id=48,0,0,1,0,0). But i didn't found it.
Has anybody bookmarked this thread?

Thanks again. le block

im not insane, and im not talking with myself.

i figured out that the release 1.1 RC4 can show articles in the 3rd structure level. This is a screenshot a an older project of mine.look at the menu.

The CMS i messed up is the current 1.2.3 Release. on my opinion, the newer release can do the same than the older one. (for sure).
So whats the problem?

Hi Cyrano, Hello World.

My Fault. I'm so sorry wasting your time.
little cause, large effect. I wonder why i allways saw the indexpage and not the default errorpage.
Altought i checked the structure levels for given templates, i did it again, yesterday. But with every level. I'll gave these levels the indexpage-template. This contains no content, only 'hardsoftcoded' html in the template. And that was the little weird thing. Now it works.
Perhaps i checked exactly these levels not containing articles. the articles all got the startpagetemplate with no content-tag.
So i see nothing (Sie sehen, dass sie nichts sehen 8) )

Thanks again. le block

offtopic: What is PS? Photoshop(-action), Playstation,.. ?. It seems to me your gallery is a Flashcomponent. But, nice colors, nice style. go on..

ha one problem less - fine :-)

PS means Photoshop, yes. Offers now a flash gallery template too.

was lazy, normally i would build it much more designed, but had done 20 hours with retouching about 600 of 3.000 image from airshow.

looking forward to next airshow :-)
