Old database in new Dev version

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to move a client site from the old version of phpwcms to the new dev version. I have installed the new version and tried to move the database across from the old version with all my templates and articles etc. But now i can login

Does anyone know how to successfully move the database from the old version of phpwcms to the new version?

Hi Pico,
I have already gone through that procedure

Did not work. I have manually uploaded the database from my old version as well - all works fine in the front end, but i cannot login to the backend using my username and password.
Does anyone know a way around this?
its no use to me if I cannot login to my backend anymore

Hi

you missed a step I think.

You don't have to do this

..and tried to move the database across from the old version..

just upload Files from the new Version to the old Place on your Server, edit the conf.inc.php with your SQL-Settings to the 'old' Database and set the Pathes to the Server. But pay attention to the first Step of the Docu!

Then start the upgrade-Script with http://www.yourdomain.com/setup/upgrade.php and do all Steps for Database upgrade one-by-one from the Version you had to the last.After that do the 'Upgrade Filestorage' etc.

once again - if you follow the Steps from http://www.phpwcms-docu.de/index.php?up ... dev._1.1.x everything will work!
