holla,
i set up a custom block in the sitelayout, add the div to the template.
it's strange... in some articles i can choose my block from the dropdown and in others my customblock is not available. what could it be.
! I know (or i think to know) how to use custom blocks! and how i write in some articles the custom block is listet in the dropdown and in other articles there are only {CONTENT} {FOOTER} {HEADER} etc...

any idea?

you're realy use the same Template in the other Structure-Level ?

yes, i use only one template.
it was in only one cat. so i delete it and make a new category, now it works

the custom block thing is buggy

Sometimes it works and it gets displayed in teh Article-Content parts. and sometimes it does not.

I am using the same 1.2.6 CVS and the issue is there

i have tried deleting all the categories and going through all the steps from zero. stil the same problem

sometimes you need to logout and then login again, I htink it has something to do with registering in the db so the user can see it...

I am seeing this to be an issue that I now have started to encounter with the sites that I create: Can't see Custom Blocks that I have created in my Page Layout.

Is there some archaic way of rebooting phpWCMS? Is there a way to induce the result of seeing these blocks? what gives? this has left me kind of stuck.

What you need to do is the following
- create custom block names in the page layout area
- then go to templates and create a NEW template.
- when choosing a page layout select the page layout with the new BLOCKS.
- save then click on templates and choose the template you just created
- everything should be there
