Beginner Questions

Just started using phpWCMS, I must say I am impressed with the detail, user-friendliness and features included. It's amazing how much work has to be done to arrive at this stage and how much potential for this project to evolve into a full-fledged "commercial" solution. I believe the community is eagerly waiting for enhancements to be added into future versions.

Will greatly appreciate if the community can help in answering some beginner questions.

1) I understand that Front-end Login is not in place (coming in ver 2.0?). What's the "cookie" or query method used if custom code is to be included?

2) The "Image" content type works pretty good like a photo gallery, the only hassle I find is to upload only one image at a time, any thoughts on this?

3) Is there any replacement tag that I can use to display the contents under a site structure or article? e.g. {CONTENT="LatestNews"} and list all immediate sub menus, article titles under it? (Will be great for the "RIGHT" column of a website I suppose.

4) My default installation seems to be in German (date shown as Mo, 6. Juni 05), how do I reconfigure it to EN display without going into the code.

5) Can we set the default this.bgcolor for menu using backend module?

2. Eg. upload your images via FTP and after that use the "FTP take over" function.
