install HELP - dbdown.php

i have gone through the complete install, but something is wrong. When i go to http://www.mysite/wcms/index.php ..... i get redirected to dbdown.php where i get a error msg that says:

We are sorry!
For service reasons the system is temporarily not attainable.
Visit us later again!


if anyone has any ideas, id really appreciate the help.

check your db settings!

i have gone through the install stuff on the web site a few times, but with no luck. i still have the same problem. and i have not found any threads that talk about this, but i could just be dumb! :)

could you guide me in the right direction?

i appreciate any help.

can you give me an example of the correct db settings? i have them set up how i think they should be, but obviously its not correct. my problem is that i dont know what ive done wrong. i entered the db name, password, host as they are on my server. i could have the path wrong.

would you happen to have an example?

sorry but i don't know you db settings!

if you follow these steps
http://www.phpwcms-docu.de/index.php?installation_en

then everything should work execept you have spelling errors in db name, db login and db password

Mysql version 4.1 and up might be the problem

I had the same problem. MySQL 4.1 and up uses a new authentication protocol. After transforming the admin-password all went well.
