from their website: http://www.htmlarea.com/

What happened to the htmlArea 2 and 3 editors?
htmlarea 2 and 3 have been discontinued. They were free wysiwyg editors that were distributed on this site. Visit the directory to find similar products.

Does this mean there should be made a decision about adding other wysiwyg editors, working on at least the windows & mac platforms?

Anyone else got any info about this? The Hotscripts.com link for HTMLArea also redirects to htmlarea.com and the above message. HTMLArea's developer website is:

http://www.interactivetools.com/

This still mentions HTMLArea as a free script, but it is missing from the free scripts download page. Closest thing I can find is HTMLArea Composer at:

http://www.alloysoftware.com/editor.asp

Is this HTMLArea?

I believe SPAW have a Gecko-based wysiwyg editor in beta, but as pauli points out, HTMLArea is the only non-beta, non-commercial wysiwyg editor that works on both Mac and PC. :(

Nope, it's here: http://www.dynarch.com/projects/htmlarea/

Seems to be not really dead after all...
