What are Multiple fonts?

Post non-phpwcms related topics here - but I don't want to see "hey check this or that other cms". Post if you have a point or worthwhile comment, don't post just to increase you post count!

Can somebody explain to me or give me an URL that explains what "Multiple Fonts" are? I guess that's different to Multiple Master Fonts. But I have no clue what it is. Thanks for any help.
