Completely new to WCMS - quick question

I have recently acquired a new freelance job and am looking for a good CMS to help the client update the site when it's finally complete. The site will be a catalogue-type site, detailing their products. Their current site is http://www.couchpotatocompany.com. If you could take 2 minutes and look at one of the product sections. With the new site, the client needs to be able to add individual products (including an image) as and when they acquire new stock. With WCMS, IS THIS POSSIBLE??? Please let me know. You would be doing me a huge favour. Thank you.
PS And I want it to be CSS based - yes/no?? Thanks.

If I was you I would take look in the "site Im proud of" forum...

There is no shop function yet - ...maybe there will be in v1.2 (possible released in the end of this year)

There is a auction fuction - you might want to modify?

I don't necessarily need a shop function, just the ability to add products with a short paragraph and image.
