where do I put...?

Where do I put those extra/alternative functions and stuff (hacks, MOD's etc.), and how should this file be named? (I mean - before the .php bit.)
Another thing: there's no info about them 'hacks' to be found in one place, or is it? Perhaps this would be something that should be done?
Really, phpWCMS must be splendid if people are using and loving it, despite the lack of proper documentation and (understantably but never-the-less) somehow slowish development... Thanks Oliver! (And my regards to your beautiful cat!)
