Search results (#top) - Bug

A customer brought this, to my attention:
On some browsers, (ex.: IE5 on WIN) when you use the Search and then, you get to the Results page, and scroll down the page; click on the TOP link to get back up; the Results will disappear (blank).
Just don't know how to fix this myself.
Can't find any cure.
