Language conversion

I've made the feeble beginnings of language support for phpwcms backend. I'm still less than 50% done and probably have made errors, but if anyone is interested I'll make files available. Currently only Danish and English (original) languages are included, as I'll need help with the German and doesn't speak a word neither french nor italian. Unless I can write 'I would like a beer' in all lines, ofcourse.

It really needs some work, still. The method is simple: A language file is included from phpwcms.php and texts are exchanged for (in phpcode) the variable or (in html) the not-too-brilliant-method of '<?php echo variable ?>'.

:D First shot is ready - you can pick it up here:

But remember - this is still in the making! Read the included textfile.

As this is hosted on my home machine, it's not always online. Current status is: Image

:D thx for support, frold - I hope Oliver will take this approach into consideration in future versions. All current tests seems to be error free, but ofcourse improvements could be made. So far, a lot of (internal backend) errors and flyovers are still missing (and I prolly missed a few things too). But if we could get german/italian/french/spaniah/portuguese support, I'm sure this effort could amount to something.

We could start out by asking: Oliver, will you support this? :D

Fine thing. Thank you.

But fuck: you brought me to the point that I have to implement this today :(

I will do this - then the backend language question is solved. ;-)

Oh so much work for multi language. But the concept is clear and half the content is prepared - including functions.

8) I agree hehe, quite a dull task... but yeah, it's an important improvement which will help ensure phpwcms success. I'm looking forward to seeing the new version, too. I'll be happy to give a hand if I can in any way, just say so. :D

Hi,

I'm prepared to translate everything into Italian, if that should be of any interest.

Sincerely
