Hi Guys
I am new to PHPWCMS and have spent many hours now trying to get it to work .
The problem I am having is when it comes to pressing the "send db data" button, the next screen shows "Please proof your database settings. There might be some mistakes!"
I have created the database manually and given all permissions to "root" and have configured the permissions on all folders to "full control" for the "everyone" group (just to test permissions!).
Can any of you help me please.
My setup is as follows :- Windows 2003 server (enterprise) with IIS 6, Mysql version 4.0.21, php 4.3.9.

did you try a several times to install!? maybe delete your tables and then start again.!?

Yes I have tried several times.
I have dropped the database and recreated it, granting all rights to the user account I am using and also specifying the host I am connecting from. But it is still coming up with the "please proof your database" error and all buttons are RED showing "FALSE not existing".
Thanks for your input anyway.

i think 2 error some mistake with the db and the other one is the pathproblem!

I have managed to get it working by installing MYSQL on the LOCALHOST (which I really did not want to do) so it must be to do with connecting to MYSQL on a remote host.
But even though it now installs, the buttons all still show red, with "not existing".
Any idea's ??

call the documenr_root.php in the root of you phpinstallation and look what it's says! then change your conf.inc.php

I have done that but it tells me to change it to C:\intetpub\wwwroot but you cant have "\" in it so I changed it to "/" instead and it seems to have acceoted it but I still come up with all REDS when connecting to the database, I am pulling out hair by the Kg !!
