If you have no date, than it not need to write one.

I hope and wish, the release comes soon... but i think, it will take a lot of much time.

sry. i'm a big fan of phpwcms. but this wrong dates of publication, are very useless.

on one side i can understand you!
but on the other not. cos what would you do if you had such an project running?

everything what you do is wrong if you tell no release date the users ask for it. if you tell one and you can't hold this it's also wrong!

but think of it that oliver don't earn money with that! so i think it's more imprortant to get money for pay rent..... etc.

it will come be we ALL need to be a little patience.

if it's very important donate oliver!

Ich schreibs jetzt mal auf deutsch, weils mir leichter fällt.

Ja, Geduld ist ein schönes Wort und ich finds ja nett, dass Du, Pappnase, Dich schon soweit für den Laden hier verantwortlich fühlst, dass Du versuchst den großen Meister immer aus der Schußlinie zu nehmen.
Ich denke Geduld haben wir alle, nur versteh ich schön langsam diese ganzen Terminankündigungen auf der Website nicht mehr. Da wird bald schon im 2-Monat-Rhythmus die neue Version angekündigt, die dann doch wieder ausbleibt. Natürlich müssen wir alle schön brav bleiben, weil es das System umsonst gibt. Aber ich zumindest würde es ja gerne mal professionell einsetzen und würde auch selbstverständlich Oliver einen kleinen Anteil des Geldes, das ich für die Implementierung verlange, für die Weiterentwicklung zukommen lassen. Nur kann ich das leider nicht, weil beispielsweise das Rechtemanagement noch so in den Kinderschuhen steckt, dass ich es in zwei konkreten Fällen dann wieder sein ließ.
Natürlich weiß ich auch, dass er mit eigenen Aufträgen den eigenen Schornstein auch erst einmal zum Rauchen bringen muß und dass das für Oliver absolute Priorität haben muß. Nur was mir überhaupt nicht schmeckt, ist die Informationspolitik. Ich denke, man kann schon relativ zeitig Dinge abschätzen und entsprechend planen. Und zu professionellem Webdesign gehört nun mal auch ein sehr gutes Zeitmanagement. Darum seh ich das hier wirklich auch etwas mit Sorge und kanns auch nicht nachvollziehen. Ich habe aber auch eine andere Philosophie in solchen Dingen: lieber nenne ich offiziell keinen Termin als andauernd irgendwelche Entschuldigungen nachzuliefern und wieder neue Termine anzugeben, die ich dann auch nicht halte.
Das ist meine persönliche Meinung dazu.

Yep. Pappnase is right

The best way to help Oliver get these new features out as soon as possible is to simply donate. This is what I am trying to do. In fact I donate for every new customer I put online with PhpWCMS, including my own site. I try to stick to what I can afford (~ 100$ CAD), keeping in mind that if most of us "the users' pool" would all donate a relative fair amount, then we would greatly help Oliver expand the possibilities offered by our favorite CMS: PhpWCMS

Beleive me... If I could donate more I would. Simply because I really appreciate the time and efforts that Oliver has spent and is spending on this important CMS.

We all have the chance to work with this Open Source Project, where all is based on human appreciation as opposed to a costly proprietary licence. Let's make it work for all of us

Imagine if all the present day 1685 users would donate a simple 25 or 50 or 100 bucks...

Imagine the time it would take you to start a fresh new CMS project...
Time is money.

Well said StudioZ, this attitude and commitment is echoed by my self.

We all sing the praises of phpWCMS but while asking for help, extensions & additions to this system (some sound more like demands

) We may like to ask ourselves what have we done for phpWCMS lately ?

Any project that earns you money could have a small amount included for contribution and still be competetively costed, helping Oliver to help us right?

Alteratively the end user is bound by law to recieve the GPL therefore should have afull understanding of how thier site has been possible through the selfless morality and expertise of Oliver ( and some others too). pointing out to them that any gratuity made by them would be well deserved.
