hi to all,
hi Oliver,

a client who want to use wcms is asking if it is possible to make a online recruitement system with wcms?

It should be able, that people who are looking for a new job can add their data and also some files to a section, which is not public for them after sending the data, but useable for admins to read, view and edit this data entries.

possible now or possible with next release?

thank you for further infos.

Hi Olaf,

I don't think that this would be enough function.

The people should be able to fill in all datas (with form) and then an employer of the company should be able to edit these data entries online in the backend.

Just with a form the data entries will be sent via email to the employer - what they need is a function to edit, change and collect these datas online.

So I think this does not fit just with a form...

Perhaps i can include a extern script, have to look to find one.

ouhm you could maybe tweak wcms a littlebit... create a script an put it in your render/init folder that can do the following: You have a hardcoded form, which will add an article and a content part filelist... simply get the data of the form and let your script fill out the database fields.. For your login-puposes you could simply take some class like the login-class from phpclasses.net ...
on this way the admins can simply edit data in the backend and users could even more simple subscribe for a job :D

just thought this might bring you on the right way :D you might take code-snippets from phpwcms.php to fullfill your needs

I think this wouldn't be more than 5-10 hours of work but really was a great enhancement and last but not the least, if I understand you right the function you were looking for ;-)

Here's the perfect tool for you, cyrano: http://www.osirecruiter.com/. You'd have to implement it in an i-frame or as an external pop-up, but this is the perfect system for your needs. It costs $179 US. Let me know if you use it - I'd be interested to hear your thoughts, as I have a potential client who would need this system.
