I would love to see a new category created in this forum where people can list their live or developing sites using Phpwcms so we can share ideas and showcase how we are using this tool.

It looks very nice...
I noticed the About SMS page seems to have a different Page Layout. How did you achieve that? I thought when you change the page layout, all pages are changed (because there is only one page layout).

Well I thought the whole idea was that you can use different templates...

In admin -> templates you can make more templates an choose which one is the default one...

When created more then one template then go to admin -> "site structure" click the "edit" icon on one of the menu options... at the bottom of the new page you can see a drop down menu after "template: " Now you can choose what templates used for that menu option...

Hi frold,
Look at the page header, you'll notice its taller than other pages. Also look at the Breadcrumb line location. It changes when "About SMS" page is displayed. That effect is normally changed in Page Layout.

As frold said, we created another template and associated that template to an item in the site structure (About SMS).

The only out of the ordinary thing we did is add to the About SMS template this line <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="joel.css"> which let us add another css file.

I think the page differences were simply from an image that is larger than the defined page layout. The Home page is using an image whose image height is set to 100 in the template header section. The About SMS uses a different template which has no height settings so it defaults to the image size.

sporto - you site looks good (now if I can only start on the content on my site)

One interesting side-effect is that the top menu-level for "Home" is overlayed... making "About SMS" *appear* to be the top menu-level 8). Thus, the reason for the alternate "Home" link !

The centered HOME link was added text/link to the left column just before the Navigation Tag not part of the breadcrumb. I also have a separate image just before that. This is how my left column appears for the first template:

Header:
Image1

Left Column:
Image2
link Home
{NAVIGATION TAG}

Main:
Breadcrumb, etc

By the way, I have played with a number of CMSs and I feel this CMS has the most potential. The community is growing rapidly and Olivers work is excellent. With a couple of different style Navigational tags and some help with inserting PHPSCRIPTS there is not much this CMS cant do.

I grabbed an opensource email to a friend script, modified it quite a bit, then called it through an external PHP script in the template. The trick that I was working on was passing the exact page variable through the text link. But I just got that worked out. :D

I'll be happy to share the files if you would like.

Thanks. It all takes time, and there never seems to be enough of it.

I'm hoping to use this forum to share ideas for sites using PHPWcms. It's a great tool.
