I have tons of questions:

Is imagemagick required for install?

Also, I love the program, but the first time I attempted an install I got SOME greens at the end, others not.

Then when I tried site.com/phpwcms/index.html I got the no db error.

Then I removed the folder and tried the install all over again and now all I get is reds.

I'm getting so frustrated!

Someone please help me...I'm sure I have the right mySQL version....

The instalation doesnt create the database, only the tables needed.
So, you must create a database (using phpmyadmin or whatever), lets say wcms_db. Without this step you can't do nothing

oh! and ImageMagik is not needed

I got all greens...I had already created the db. It was a permission problem....

But now when I try to set up the site and go to /phpwcms/index.php I get:

Warning: main(include/inc_conf/conf.indexpage.inc.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/httpd/vhosts/sonatadesign.com/httpdocs/phpwcms/index.php on line 40

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'include/inc_conf/conf.indexpage.inc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in /home/httpd/vhosts/sonatadesign.com/httpdocs/phpwcms/index.php on line 40

you have not set all permissions right!


(nclude/inc_conf/)conf.indexpage.inc.php set to 666

I did even better...chmod to 777 but now I get a blank page when I try /index.php

You need to set up your template and add pagecontent before anything can show up.

if you have no content then you have a blank page!

also 666 is enough for the (include/inc_conf/)conf.indexpage.inc.php it only need write permissions!

please refer the docu page for permissons check all again!

did you follow all steps in the docu? also did you set the tthe checkbox create admin account!? normal login is webmaster / admin.


did you get an error if you try to login!?

starthere is a link from the login page to the index.php.

did you upload the conf.inc.php!?

if you have problems with the docu page please send me an mail! and tell where you see the problems!
