Checking your source

I am a very novice developer WAY out of my league. I have managed to put together a few small decent websites, but nothing too complicated.
I am trying to redesign some of my sites with PHPWCMS, in order to decrease the work of updating pages and adding new content, but am having a hard time.
You see, the way I learned HTML was by finding a site with something I liked, opening up the source, and seeing how they did it. Is there an easy way to do the same thing for PHPWCMS - a way that I can look at a page created with the software and identify what exactly they put into their templates and site structure pages?
Thanks,
David
