Hello All,

I am having a problem with posting a new article on my site. This is the oddist thing. I can change the templates. I can edit an old article. But when I add a new it doesn't show up. No matter where I place it.

Its version 1.1RC4 that I am running on a linux server hosted by GoDaddy.com

I tried adding the article on two other sites that are running phpwcms and it works fine.

Can anyone give some insite on what is happening?

is this an updated or an fresh install!?
wich release date did you have there installed / or updated!?

Hi,

It was a fresh install that I did back in July. It has been working great up until today.

I haven't changed anything with the Premissions other than the admin password.

I am going to set up a new users and see if that make a difference. I'll let you know.

I added a user with admin rights and it still doesn't work

Should I upgrade to a current version? I am at 1.1RC4 What is the most current?

yes i would say update to the latest version!
and see if this would happen after updateing also!

but don't forget to run the upgrade.php script!

Hello All,

This is really getting strange.

I didn't backup well So I just installed the most current copy of phpwcms, release on the 27th of Aug.

Now its reinstalled and I can ad pages, edit templates and admin the site. But It won't allow me to add any articles now Well I should say that I can ad them but they don;'t show up on the site.

I can't figure it out. If anyone has an idea, please help. The site is http://www.wireless-living.net and it is set at the default login until I get it working.

did you run the setup.php again or the upgrade.php!?

I had to reinstall from scratch. I messed up the upgrade and couldn't get backup or mysql to work

So everything in this install is new.

but you have the old atbeles there and in the new installation an db preprend!!?

??? I don't know how. I'll download again. delete the database and reinstall it again.

thuoght youinstalled it a second time on your server.

okay here is what I have done.

1. deleated old database
2. downloaded new copy of phpwcms
3. created new database with different name
4. uploaded phpwcms to my root directory
5. changed permissions on directorys
6. ran setup.php

And still no articles This is really pissing me off now! I want to get this site back up and running as soon as I can. Is there something I am missing? Why would it just stop working? Everything was running so nice.

yes from where should phpwcms take the data (articles) if you don't make a backup and you delete all tables?!?

Sorry, I didn't understand your last post, can you please explain again. The tables in the DB are new!

Do I need to do the patches to the current version?

I noticed that the text that wouldn't show up last night is now there. Did you change anything?

did i understand you rigth! your website was running you try to update, then something went wrong you empty your database and reinstall all!? and now you looking for your content layout etc!?
