Well I was thinking of 2 replacement tags
{CALENDAR_EVENT}
when you use that tag, there will be placed a calandar at you site, so you can put in events...Days with an event will be marked with a special color. Maybe it wil show the next 5 upcomming events.
{CALENDAR_ARTICLES}
When using this replacement tag a calendar is placed on your site. When clickiing on a day in the calendar you will get a list of articles posted that day. Dayes where there are posted articles will have a special color.
I would like this

A php calender is something that I have developed in January this year. See it in action here:

That is the neatest looking calendar I've seen in a long time!
The minute I saw it, I clicked on the "download" button on the site; oh well, the button wasn't for the calendar
Is that calendar available as open source? It would be a great addition to phpwcms.

i looked one more time at this calender. it's really nice. but i saw that you only can see that there is an date. but not where or what happens there.
you want make with phpwcms something different like all nuke systems.
so is this not more importatnt to have an calender in the background? and have in the foreground an event system? so that visitors can see what you offer and maybe also can announce for this event?
like adrian offers photo seminars and visitors see when where and can register for this event.
or otherwise is the function to ask for an date very good, for companys that offers advanced training or something for example.

I found this calendar/events script some time ago:
it is called bd_blog. It allows you to do everyting you need. Perhaps it can be integrated with phpwcms as an add-on or module.

The script site is often down but you can get to it eventually.

I like this one as well; it would be nice if it could be modified to display events. However, as I see it, right now it only allows you to post events and shows dates which are booked, but you can not display them when you click on the date, nor can you have multiple events and categories in a day.

At DJ Ötzi it's only a calender.
All other things like events has nothing to do with calendar. The calendar is only used for displaying that there is an event or article or something else

I am curious if phpWCMS could be used for a site of an arthouse. Then the mainpage for every user (also not logged in) should have the program of the last week or month, with a visitor-forum and the usual other stuff, like polls and stuff. Off course the site should also be used as information for every volunteer, with their own forum (or maybe integrated with phpBB, closed topics for non-members).
For such use a calender or better yet an event topic would be great!
See the
arthouse site (mostly dutch), still in flat html... The guy working on it just learned use of css from me

(You don't want to know the Frontpage-like pages it had a few months ago...

Hi Oliver,
what is the actual status of this thread? Will you still include this calender into phpwcms?
Just a question...
