RE: eSOL Web site

Post by tyr »

Looks nice. I noticed on a few pages the content pushes the main content area out on the sides a bit. This is especially true for the "Waarom eSOL?" page at http://www.esol.be/9.0.0.1.0.0.shtml. The second paragraph under "5. Internationale standaarden" pushes the sides out quite a bit.

At least that is how it appears on a PC with IE 6.0. Most of the pages look fine, though. Hope that helps.

Personally you guys that make money if/when you use PHPWCMS and you do not donate anything you are really being a BITCH.

I personally think you should(MUST) donate to the author just to show some appreciation and he will spend more time to make better versions with only an amount of donation.

Anyways, Your site is really good. try to learn some CSS because only images won't make the best site. see CSSGARDEN as an example that shows how much CSS can make your site look alot better!

Take Care

How do you know aCCuReRaS didn't donate, fimi? I don't know either ... but your harsh language is unfounded and does not assist in building a community of friendliness.

I agree with your underlying message, but not your tone.

I wasn't talking about him(if it seemd that way)! I was trying to generalize... i just kind of flipped out because its very rude to make money from someone's free work!!!

sorry if this affected aCCuReRaS in any personal way, i didn't mean it.

Sorry, but I cannot understand you and your posting before is not acceptable. Oliver Georgi has published phpWCMS under GPL. This means, that everyone, I spell it once more: e v e r y o n e, can use it, if he is accepting the rules of Oliver and the GPL. Second: you didn`t know anything about this firm. On the one hand you have no knowing about an agreement with Oliver. Moreover that is really no business of yours.
I hope, you stop this kind of suspecting next time.
Viele Grüße / Many Greetings
Alexander

Looks like an interesting suggestion, but where can I find the site. http://www.cssgarden.com doesn't work and google didn't find anything either.

Alexander already stated it, but i had to comment on this... it's unbelivable there'e still someone around here that thinks that! if you think that way, don't go around GPL soft forums saying it! The author INTENDED it to happen!!!!
Think of Linux <> RedHat... and many others!!

I am no communist or "left winger"... i'm pretty capitalistic, but I agree on releasing free (as in "speech" not "beer") software so that more ppl help develop it, and you/you're company get's a better soft, more publicity/visibility and you get more money on consulting it!! That's the spirit!

Check Typo3 for example... it's EXTREMELY powerful (and complicated... thus phpwcms!) and it's free... but check http://www.typo3.com to see how can the author live on a free software (he ain't getting any rich... but... he's living with a family!)
