I would like to make the "add contant part" more user friendly...

Instead of the drop down menu I would like some images you could chosse between. Like these:

Image text with img Image palin text Image images list

etc..

Is there a plan to add some kind of that?

Maybe - but the problem is that this needs a lot of space - we do not really have in the list. At the moment 13 different images and this will grow. Maybe it is good to implement a little help window that lists every content type.

Yeah a help window will be a good idea....

Or small images that on clik enlarge og when mouse it over the images will enlarge...

Btw: is it possible to make my own content parts?
If not, this would be great in one of the next releases.

I'm and also others think about this. I have to clear it technically. I plan to change the way how content part values are stored in database. Newer content parts are using this "new" way. Then it would be easy to extend with own content parts. I know - there are a lot of content parts waiting at the moment in minds outside there...

What I plan to add soon:
sitemap
list sub structure level
list articles of 1 structure level
comments
vote
poll
chat
discussion

I understand you, but I think many off the things oliver mention is features you (as a user) expect from a cms system now a day....

and macromedia director content

and even maybe an 'sql list' that would return a list created by an sql query type thing. Not sure what to call it but it will table and fill it with the content of the query. you then select what was expected from the list like pictures, movies, sound, files, director files ;), text, etc and you select a min or max number across or high to format the final table etc.

have I lost you all as friends yet... :)

P.S.

Director content isn't really important (I think). Use HTML content part for that ;-)
