Textile Integration & Simple Backend

I am using phpxcms to develop an Intranet solution for employees and dealers. Although I am personally quite ok with the backend UI and the endless possibilities, it would be so desirable to provide a very simple "add article" function right on the frontend.
Background: I trust my users (as they either belong to the company or signed a contract) and I want to encourage them to edit articles and add new ones (like reports or suggestions). However, the backend is too complicated and offers much more possibilities than these guys can handle.
I am thinking of the following:
- Frontend login (already planned, I know)
- If logged in, a buttons appear at selected (backend) articles: edit this article
- Also, each section gets (if enabled) an "add article" button which adds content at exactly this location, maybe allowing for images and attachments, but not more.
For the latter, a textile integration would be great, as WYSIWYG slows down rapid writers.
Any thoughts on this?
Hannes
Edit: I know a lot of this could be done using a WIKI. However, this requires a completely new way of thinking and offers too much ways to mess up everything.
