redirect to another article does not work

I have 2 buttons in my site that have to display the same page. So I update the first page and have the second page redirect to the first one.

I go to article centre and click on the second button to edit, I see the article information showing a field "redirection".

When I fill in redirection: http://www.google.com it works fine. After clicking the button it leads me too Google. But when I fill:in "http://www.mysite.com/index?page_name", it shows an empty page with only the title. So no redirection takes place.

Is this a bug or do I do something wrong?

sounds that it's miss spelled or you have the structure level not set as visible / public!
