phpwcms_module_googlemaps_v3_r48 doesn't work

Hello,

I'm a fond user of the great phpwcms cms and loving it!
But now i want to add the googlemaps module and i cannot get it to work

I've installed the module and inserted the API key.
The backend part seems to work fine, but when i want to look at the frontend part of the module i receive the error message:
"This web site needs a different Google Maps API key. A new key can be generated at http://code.google.com/apis/maps/docume ... aining_Key.

Please help me!

What is the problem with generating a new key?

you do not have to generate a new key. brave new world! it runs without any...

I tried using another key but didn't work.
It's not possible to remove entered key...

go via phpmyadmin to phpwcms_googlekey and delete manually

Google Maps Module v3 runs with Google Maps API v2 and therefore needs am API Key.
An Update to API v3 is still not ready to release. Without support of any kind I dont think to be able to do this in near future.

Make sure you generate the Key for the root domain like: www.yourdomain.tld
Generate the key here: https://developers.google.com/maps/docu ... al#api_key
PM me if this does not work with link to your site and phpwcms version nr, maybe we can find a solution with the beta version of the module update.

i never use or need a api key for a while.

maybe i'm a buddy of google? but i dont think so. the current modul works without a key!

well, the important part would be this:

- in order to get a map in frontend yu MUST select a point in the 'selection' field, even if you have just one point added in the module section, you must select that point in the CP
- the implode error message is a known problem (solved in the coming V3.5). To avoid it enter 2 numbers in the field: sidebar>search>within a distance of

the key issue appeard due to problems within the template, no relation with Google Maps Module. The Module should still work as MapAPI v2 when you obtain a Google API Key.
