My CMS version 1.3.3 has stopped working. I get this error.

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/mrpsco/public_htm/config/phpwcms/conf.inc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/mrpsco/public_html/cms/index.php on line 33

It was initially installed using Fantastico, but Fantastico now says there is no installation.
I tried doing a new install 1.4.2 r345 using Fantastico but it says I need to remove a number of files, all of which are part of my last install.
What should I do ?

do not use Fantastico, take the original install — Fantastico was never supported. All you would need is the conf.inc.php to get your install up running again. What has happened exactly I cannot tell you.
