Changing Background

I can't change background from pagelayout . I am editing background picture line but it's not working. Using phpwcms 1.4.5 (2010/02/22, r401).
Please don´t use this old technology for layout and navigation. It is no longer supported 100% by the system. This technology exists only for compatibility with very old layouts.
Switch to "[x] css div" and reformat everything with the frontend.css or better switch to "[x] custom (from template main block)"
