Headlines Organized Per Date

Hi every1,

Is there a way to separate headlines(without sublines) per date to place on the frontpage including a TOP-Story in the form a replacement-tag (or tags)?

i.e.

Top Story
. Headline Number One
[IMG-ALIGN]image/here[/IMG-ALIGN]

May 6
. Headline Number One
. Headline Number Two
. Headline Number Three

May 5
. Headline Number One
. Headline Number Two

May 4
. Headline Number One
. Headline Number Two
. Headline Number Three
