New users are registering all day long - newest is s z t i n 1 0 (remove spaces
)
Searching aunt guugle for this one is resulting in 92.100 hits - wow. Very impressive work done for spamming the world at some future day... or testing auto- registration...
I'm playing with this quite some time now and it is kind of a prediction possible for spam attacks....

Yeah.. need for speed, these machines are growing like nothing... I had a bot at a server playing ssdd Entry ... fail2ban ..and totaly calm @ this moment
Letz take a server ( I have a 100 Mbit machine with absolutely nothing to do) and construct a honey pot

Good idea!
While fail2ban is a already nice one we could really make some aggregation for these attempts to keep off these crappers (I personally am preferring tar and feathers instead of honey though)

sometimes it's very useful not to search with googles search mask but paste the search word into the address bar - results differ, really...
But nevertheless revealing the truth about my theory: if several ten to ten thousand postings (and / or user subscriptions) occur, all with the same or similar text / links (or are deleted again meanwhile) there are spammers at work quite for sure....
again today... and this time it has been a posting with text related to the thread, really - very clever!
and a little link beneath....

searching for our latest spammer is revealing 6.750 guugle hits - this time a lightning attack

Meanwhile I'm really fond of checking - searching for XXXX (censored) is revealing some 10000 hits for subscriptions in numerous forums all over the world within the last days with nada or dada postings

Our newest member xxxxxcensored0568 is hit by google some 37.300 times, mainly vbulletin boards, but now phpbb too
