hi guys,
I have an issue that i guess you guys do too but it is only apparent if you try to ftp a file over the top of a file created by phpwcms (thumbnails may be the only example). I upload a file via phpwcms that files ownership is my host but if i ftp a file the owner is me. This means when phpwcms creates a thumbnail the owner is my host and so i may not ftp over that thumbnail with an edited version of that thumbnail
I have mentioned proxy images elsewhere but will also say it again here...
I wish, i wish, i wish... that in those content parts that deal with images
we may chose to use another image (proxy image) to be used as the thumbnail instead of the current thumbnail. I thought of an option to set the proxy image within the upload area where you are ble to create a thumbnail but this seams to be a little restrictive in it's aplication. the basic idea is click THIS image and THIS image pops up, simmiler to how it is now but more freedom.
EDIT: i now would ask to have the proxy extended so as to replace link-list item, bullet-list items and multimedia items too
i guess the idea is that anything can use a proxy image
