[clarified] Strange Effect - png transparency

Post by oeconom »

Hi,

I just noticed a very strange effect:
For the "Backend Standardtext" I have a png picture with transparency included. FF shows the picture as it should, IE (6) doesn't (transparent area isn't transparent).
Changing the file to a gif, it works in both browsers.

Anyone experienced something alike?
Is this IE specific or could it be something related to phpwcms?

Best wishes,
FELIX

Support of transparency has just started in IE7, but for IE6 there are a lot of work around (even in phpwcms)
Try the forum search and just will see a lot of threads!

Welcome back home, FELIX!
I hope you'll get some transparency into your Transparencies

PS: forgot to mention that all other major browsers (FF, Opera, Safari..., IE7) can handle it just fine, so there is "only" this IE6 left to target...
