How to show contentparts from {CONTENT} in {RIGHT}

Hi

I would like to have an indexpage, where you can see the menu (there are 2), a news box, and the main-info (see picture), BUT (see below picture)

Image

If my indexpage is allowed to show more than 1 news story in the news box ({CONTENT}=main col), then it is no longer possible to see MENU 1 and MAIN INFORMATION, unless you click on the news stories (the reason why you can still see MENU 2 is because it is plain text typed inside the template and not in a content part). How can the page show it all?

Image

ALSO - how can I show the entire news story made in {CONTENT} in {RIGHT}

Thanks :-)

Jan!

not at all sure what you are trying to get here. could you explain it clearer please?

if you are trying to get the news box to simply list the items but once clicked show the article in the main area then this can be done using the content part 'contentpart alias'

News in other column

Hi

And thanks - that answered one of my questions. I will try to use "contentpart alias" (never used it before)...

But you know - when you have added an article or contentpart with 5 articles (e.g. in main column using {CONTENT} you can only see the teasers and the "more"-link. You cannot see whatever you else may have typed in e.g. {LEFT} UNTIL you click on the "more"-link - now you can see the rest of that particular article along with whatever you have in e.g. {LEFT}...

How can I have a news box with 5 articles with "more"-links and STILL have the site show the content in e.g. {LEFT} etc.?

I think the contentpart 'contentpart alias' wil;l solve this problem..
create the articles as normal - display in CONTENT

then create a 'contentpart alias' in that article and set the display to LEFT

if you wans the news to appear on all page simply add the {SHOW_CONTENT:CP,xxx} to the left block in the template as per my previous post
