phpnuke to phpwcms migration??

Post by ourpobox »

Hello All,

I have a site that is based on php-nuke that has quite a few weblinks in the database. I am tired of the straightjacket of control that nuke keeps me tied into. I want to migrate my site to phpwcms, but I don't want to lose the weblinks that are the core element of the site. Does anyone know of a script or any other way to migrate my weblinks from nuke to phpwcms without manually copying all the links?

thanks,

Greg

You don't want to lose the weblinks or phpnuke pages/content?

Hi Goran,

I can just cut and paste the other pages, but I have 100's of weblinks in a database, in categories, and I would LOVE to be able to somehow convert them into something I can use in phpWCMS....

So, to answer your question...it is only the weblinks that I am concerned about.

thanks,

greg

What's up, good People?

no - there is no way to Convert something from Nuke to phpwcms - except you write a Script in PHP  but for that you have to know the Structure of the both Databases
In my opinion it's faster with Copy&paste :P

No, no, no, no, no! I came here for magic spells and potions! Not for realism!

I thought from the beginning that I might have to cut and paste, but I also thought that MAYBE someone else had already done the HARD work and might have a script to export the weblinks.

Anybody? Anybody? ....please....?

....yep....as I thought....probably cut and paste! Thanks Goran and Pico!
