Post custom hacks and enhancements for phpwcms here only. Maybe some of these things will be included in official release later.

I really think this hack is pretty awesome. I don't use flash but man, if I did, I would be all over this. :)

only front end, the back end it is fine as is
no components atm, just some way to pull up data from the database and some code (if somebody knows how to do components, fine for me, i'll give him the code).

it's not gonna be swish for phpwcms,.... it's gonna take some actionscripting knowledge at this level... :/

what form are you passing the data?
Is it in numbered variables (faked arrays) version 4 compatable...?
XML?
other?

I would love to see an interface or php file created that could be called by a flash movie to recieve an XML file that describes the menu structure... ;)

menu, xml
text and stuff with (flash's) LoadVars, straight outta the DB
the menu structure is already complete, and if a menu structure has more than one article, it appears like in a "news" fashion...

tomorrow night i'll have to make the second part of the video shoots for the site (you'll see), and then (i hope) sunday night i'll have my new portfolio ready; if it works, as i hope, i'll just release the second version publicly. Before than that, it's just code, code, code with nothing to screenshot...

ok fulvio - i no nada about actionscript but i do know lingo (director's language)
what are the chances the source would/could work in director?
i'm guessing 'nil' so... are there any converters that would do the job that you know of?

Yeah I know director rather well as well.
I am hoping that we can get a simple PHP page that returns an XML file with all the usefull menu data...
that would work great for flash menus... or interfacing director.

there's FCMS v0.1 on ionrock's site, the menu.xml file is more or less just the same and unchanged...try that....
