Hi!
I think this is an practical question:

What's the best way design and uploading own templates with graphics?

I build my template in my fav pagedesigner, include graphics, check it, test it, etc. Yes, than I copy and paste the body in phpwcms. Now I've to change all <img>-Tags to {IMAGE:}.

My question: Is there any better way? It's very heavy with primary graphical designs, I mean. :?:

Hi Wolfgang,

you don't have to change the <img> tags. I do my layout in dreamweaver and copy&paste the parts into the template, without changing anything, except placing the replacement tags. You still have to upload the images to the same folder as on your local harddisk.

Hope that helps

Happy easter

I don't know if this was already said by all you great german speaking folk but, here goes. A very nice thing about phpwcms is that you can easily mix and match the cms and your own preferences. For example, in a template you have the option of uploading all your pictures to the picture directory and using the {IMAGE} replacement tag for placement. The other option would be to design the template and put your images where ever you like and just make sure there is a corresponding folder for them in the phpwcms root. Yet anothe option is to mix and match by using some image replacement tags and your own specific files and folder. What I would suggest is designing your template with your graphics in the picture directory and then if you want to change it all to the {IMAGE} tags you can or you can just leave it. You will also then be able to use graphics created for your design in your wysiwyg editor if you are using spaw :) So good times and three cheers for phpwcms!

@ionrock:
Yes, with Paradroids answer I understand the system. It's really pretty fine! :)

Last year I played some time with typo3. It also very nice, but for many things to complex.
Now playing 3 or 4 days with phpwcms and I created and checked more as with typo3 for some weeks.

ionrock, thanks for support! - I like your sites! Cools design! :D
