Hi Oliver
Hi folks,
before I will release it on SourceForge - have fun testing the 1.2.8 for some days. It's always a long way - but I'm on the good one.
http://www.phpwcms.org/release/20060815 ... _1.2.8.zip [2.97MB]
http://www.phpwcms.org/release/20060817 ... _patch.zip [62.7KB]
http://www.phpwcms.org/release/20060817 ... patchA.zip [34.4KB]
http://www.phpwcms.org/release/20060818 ... patchB.zip [13.1KB]
What's about a Version 1.2.9? We would come closer to 1.3...

No, not that fast :)

1.2.9 will have the new layout - and there is some more work...

Our part:
Please test test test test the 1.2.8 .

I think, that is the best basic for O.G. to develop the next version. :D

Please before posting bugs check these rules:
- each bug posting should complain only 1 problem -> so if you have more than one make new bug posting for each
- give all information you have - little: "Eh this isn't workin..." is very little
- always check: PHP version, MySQL version, Rewrite On
- if I close a posting think twice before re-opening it

Yes! You're right

But will there be an official announcement for a stable 1.2.8, with all the patches included?

I installed the newest version, did all the patches and now it looks like everything is working... Guess if no more problems occur, this would be a good base for a stable release to work with...

Oli told us that 1.2.9 will have a new backend layout. Maybe not everyone will like this, depending on how it looks... So for me it would make sense to have this stable release, before making major changes again... Just in case that someone likes to stay with this version...

before I can release 1.2.8 as public release - it is "stable" as every software outside I have to implement some things - especially new install routine.
