OK maybe I'm not that smart but I'm having this problem with a new install of phpwcms!

This is what I have done

1. I've downloaded phpwcms_1.1-RC4_2004-08-27_A.zip
2. Extracted
3. Editied setup.conf.inc.php and config.inc.php everywhere I could find them
4. Up loaded all files to the root of my host
5. Went to site http:\\URL\index.php

And I get this message below

Code: Select all

new phpwcms install?

Don't forget to move setup/setup.conf.inc.php

for releases < 1.1.5-dev to include/inc_conf/conf.inc.php
and newer releases to config/phpwcms/conf.inc.php.
This message is some what confusing to me I've tried various things to get rid of the error. The best results I could get was an blank index.php

Maybe I'm not searching right but i can't find anything on it in the forum!
Can anyone assist?

hello

first of all you take the wrong pack!
please delete all and use the latest 1.2.6 release!!!

and then read this ;-)

Hi

first of all you should use the newest Version 1.2.6 - the one you have is 'out of Date' it's from 2004 ;)
you will find it here http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... _id=413259

or you also can use the Developer Version 1.2.7 ->
http://www.phpwcms.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11529

And don't do Step 3 - just upload the Files and call http://www.yourdomain.tld/setup/inex.php and follow the Instructions.
This will also Generate the Database-Tables for you.

See Docu at http://www.phpwcms-docu.de/
