phpwcms Support Forum

Hello Everyone,

I would like to know if we could start up a section of the board on design priciples and theory.... I am mostly a programmer that got started doing web pages with php. I used to do simple html just to post info but never really got into it. My design skills are weak. I am starting to get more and more into it but after seeing all these sites listed in the "Sites Your proud of" section I realize, I realize that my sites are boring... they are all the same. Could someone recommend a good source for color theory and layout theory.. how to choose good fonts... I'm reading up on css right now... so hopfully that will give me more ideas.

Hi Pappnase,

I am having pretty good luck with using phpwcms.... the problem is my lack of creativity when creating the websites.... How to choose a good color scheme and how to come up with an interesting layout. What fonts would look good.... where to get some stock photos, or info on taking and processing photos... I'm interested in being more skilled with the layout.

Once I know what I want, I can usually get it done in phpwcms.

If you know of any good resources or if anyone has any tips to share, I'd love to hear them.
