update packs?

I haven't been on the board in a while and am a little confused.
I have 1.2.6 dated 14-12-2005.
I guess I'll ask my questions in this order...
1) Besides the pre-release what is the lastest version/build
2) Where is the latest version? Is the CVS still dead?
3) What update packs are needed?
Danke/Merci/Thanks

I used WinMerge to add the files to the older version, but do I do an upgrade or a setup?? I reconfigured my conf.inc.php file. Now during the upgrade it wants me to process an sql file. What one should I pick. I don't see one for 14-12-2005 -> 27-04-2006.
Thanks

Interesting, Most should just FTP the files and overwrite your installation to avoid "human error", except for files "known" to have been modified by them.

--> "upgrade.php", of course!

(don't make this out to be any more complex than the file is named.)

Yes, always check for any new options that might be introduced in this file.

It doesn't "want" you to -or- "require" you to... it's just there if you "need" to... You DON'T.

Do I still have to do:
1) UPGRADE FILESTORAGE (all files will be moved and renamed)
2) UPGRADE ARTICLE CONTENT IMAGE (copy and paste using phpMyAdmin)
3) UPGRADE ARTICLE CONTENT IMAGELIST (copy and paste using phpMyAdmin)
??
