Because they are all so different, my favorite solution really depends on the requirements of a project. For instance, I used the Maani slideshow here - http://www.eastatlantavillage.net. I almost used SlideshowPro here, but went with Expose from Slooz instead - http://www.mckessonnsmphotos.com. I'll be using an AirTightInteractive tool for another upcoming project.

As for a standard gallery, my favorites are SlideshowPro and Expose. But, as I said, the correct solution really depends on the project and what is needed.

I have used most of the tufat scripts and am happy to alter the (provided ) source to suit each job - my personal preference though is (currently) slideshowpro.

exposè is very nice - i am planning to do a script to batch load the images...
Completeness is reached through subtraction, not through addition
