hi there,
i just have installed the newest version and if i now try to change
something i get this:
error while updating content: UPDATE phpwcms_articlecontent SET acontent_aid = '8', acontent_uid = '1', acontent_title = '', acontent_subtitle = '', acontent_type = '1', acontent_sorting = '10', acontent_visible = '1', acontent_before = '', acontent_after = '', acontent_top = '0', acontent_block = 'CONTENT', acontent_anchor = '0', acontent_text ='
There were some other funny things which i already fixed.
So to set php-tags to "1" and i get funny chars and so on. But this is the rest.
Seems to be something with the database.
But i can´t remember that there was something
critical. Maybe i transfered a folder by ascii but ...

Yes i know.
And i changed it. I used ASCII the last time in deed.
There was a realy funny "error".
The template for my startpage "switched" to
a template i already deleted a few days ago

.
I don´t know why. Suneruption with particlestorm???
I change it and now everything seems to work fine.
I remember that last time i installed the newest version
i had some funny phaenomenons too.
Maybe the provider made some auto-backups or something.
By waiting a while everything looks perfect.

The database strikes back.
Now it isn´t funny. Ok, i´ll start at the beginning:
I reinstalled my site t 1.2.6 Final.
Some little problems as ritten above. I can handle that.
There was a very funny thing that a template appears,
which i already deleted a few days before the reinstall.
I changed to the templated i wanted and everything was fine.
Today morning(all worked fine for appr. 2 days): Same problem. The site-content appears with
the main template. This time i hate my maintemplate.
And only the index.php has this error. The other
"pages" appear as they should.
Ok, i wanted to acces the database via phpMyAdmin...
But no entry. No way. I checked the backend-stuff in conf.inc.php
Than i found out by accident that my provider has installed
phpMyadmin himself. I did what i found out about the
error while updating. Droped the cache table and
entered what you can read here:
CREATE TABLE `I haved changed_phpwcms_cache` (
`cache_id` int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment,
`cache_hash` varchar(50) NOT NULL default '',
`cache_uri` text NOT NULL,
`cache_cid` int(11) NOT NULL default '0',
`cache_aid` int(11) NOT NULL default '0',
`cache_timeout` varchar(20) NOT NULL default '0',
`cache_isprint` int(1) NOT NULL default '0',
`cache_changed` int(14) default NULL,
`cache_use` int(1) NOT NULL default '0',
`cache_searchable` int(1) NOT NULL default '0',
`cache_page` longtext NOT NULL,
`cache_stripped` longtext NOT NULL,
PRIMARY KEY (`cache_id`),
KEY `cache_hash` (`cache_hash`),
FULLTEXT KEY `cache_stripped` (`cache_stripped`)
) TYPE=MyISAM AUTO_INCREMENT=33 ;
And now no benefits. The site looks as it shouldn´t.
Has anybody an idea what to do in this case.
Maybe running in a fullmoon-Night around the house and
pray some miracle-textes?
Ah, ftp with ascii for text and binary for the other stuff.
Than only binary. Nothing...

Ok, i think it´s too late for today.
I´ll see what will wait for me tomorrow.
I get no errors yet. So the only thing is:
What the f... happens to my intro template?

And where do this idiot lives who blocked my phpMyAdmin
and added his own and didn´t tell, write, ... anything?
It´s not really a problem a have enough backups
but the wasted time.

hi pappnase,
I already did.
pwcms["cache_enabled"] = 0; //cache On/Off - 1 = caching On / 0 = caching Off (default)
$phpwcms["cache_timeout"] = 0; //default cache timeout setting in seconds - 0 = caching Off

Also. Radikalkur. Ich glaube beim letzten Update habe ich am
Ende auch die komplette Datenbank gekickt und wieder neu
angefangen. Nun denn. Trotzdem vielen Dank für die Tipps.
