hello oliver .. first of, let me just say congrats on your phpwcms magic ... if what the demo says is true, then this thingie will solve lots of my problems

and now question: i am searching for some good FREE servers with PHP and MYSQL support, where i can test your phpwcms. Any idea which ones would be good?. I allready tried to install phpwcms on lycos.co.uk, but i'm having strange problems in the installation process for which i blame lycos (error message in that the folders can not found).

so .. any good site that you could advise me?

there are enough 'cheap' hosting companies out there which would give you for example 1 month for a few bucks.

hmm oliver I don't want to put you in a bad light but I know a cheaper, better host than you do you got 400 mb diskspace 1 domain 9 mysql databases tons of features and a very good controle panel ( by the way: unlimited traffic, unlimited pop3 accounts, and the email space is not taken from you normal webspace! so your email space is unlimited too! )

tons of features means: easy to install phpBB ( one click! ), invision board, guestbooks, chats, phpnuke etc. maybe if you want me to I will post the url of the host ( by the way they got the best mark on reachability and capacity of their servers! )

for this packet you pay 9.50 swiss franks per month ( about: 6 euros )

and for the smaller one ( same features but only 200 mb disk space and 3 mysql databases : 4.5 swiss franks per month -> about 3 euros )

I have hosted three websites ( one using phpwcms ) on this server and also have used typo3 on their servers it really runs without any problems so its really worth to have a look... and you have to possibility to test your servers 2 month and pay after these 2 months, if you want to keep the server if not, you simply don't have to pay and you lose your server....

they register domains for no registration fee.. so we ( me and my friend ) pay 89 swiss franks for 1 year with the small packet and a .com domain ) the .de domains would be the same If I'm right, maybe the first year will cost a little more ( caused by denic not by this host )

that's no problem for me - post the link. But where is it cheaper? My offer does not say anything about registration fees! It costs 33EUR/year without domain name.

I also know other (maybe also cheaper) hosters - but that's not what I want to be. Nobody needs unlimited email forwardings?

no of course not but the unlimited traffic and the 9 mysql databases and those features coming up with the contol panel are pretty good in my experience this host ( http://www.cyon.ch ) is really the best I ever saw.

And If you share my opinion and buy an account from them would you have the courtesy to mention me ( http://www.ti-files.com ) as you reseller ? If not no problem ... If yes thanks mate

...geh jetzt nicht auf den Quatsch von brans ein, sondern möchte vielmehr Dich fragen, ob dieser Dumpingpreis wirklich seriös durchkalkuliert ist. Um beispielsweise Typo3 vernünftig laufen zu lassen, muß man die Anforderungen an den Webserver ziemlich großzügig bemeßen (weißt Du eh). Darum versteh ich nicht, wie Du das vernünftig kalkulieren willst. Du machst hier soviel Großartiges für Dein CMS, da mußt Du nicht auch noch den Webspace fast gratis hinterherschmeißen oder mit dubiosen Massenhostern konkurrieren ...

Ich ändere das mal ab. Prinzipiell ist der Preis aber nicht das Problem. Dieser ist auf Basis meiner durchschnittlichen Kundendaten kalkuliert - bei max 30 Accounts pro Server - max 10 Typo3 Installationen pro System.

Naja wers nicht glaubt egal, wers nicht glauben will auch egal, habe keine Lust wegen solch einem Schwachsinn eine Auseinandersetzung anzufangen ... es sollte lediglich eine Empfehlung sein.

@brans: ich wollte Dich nicht beleidigen, doch ich habe in den letzten Jahren schon so einige "Preisbrecher" kommen und gehen sehen, wo erst mit großem Tamtam alles ganz Dolle ausgeschaut hat und zum Schluß bei den Kunden nix als Katzenjammer übrig bleibt. Die sind natürlich wahnsinnig billig, nur ist doch da eines auch klar: um hier einen einigermassen vernünftigen Schnitt zu machen, müssen die auf die Server draufpacken was nur geht. Das mag am anfang noch alles super performant ausschauen, wird aber zur Verwunderung der ersten Kunden im Laufe der Zeit immer träger. Warum, ist auch klar ...
Und ich habe wirklich vor einiger Zeit den Markt rauf und runter abgeklappert und kann Dir versichern: in der Preisklasse bekommst Du normalerweise kein Typo3-System zu laufen. Seriös kalkuliert, kann das auch gar nicht gehen. Schön, ich habe auch auf all.inkl. ein Typo3 zum Laufen bekommen, aber immer harkte es wo: entweder wurde das Backend zu bestimmten Zeiten total träge oder im Bereich der Grafik-Bearbeitung ging halt dann doch nicht alles. Wie auch? Welcher normale Hoster kann schon ImageMagick und GDLib in bestimmten (und gewißermassen veralteten) Versionen anbieten. Abgesehen davon wieviel Speicher Dir für PHP vom Hoster zur Verfügung gestellt wird und vieles mehr. Gut, wenn dieser Hoster das alles "gratis" zur Verfügung stellt, oder auch so alles perfekt klappt, ziehe ich meinen Hut und hüstel ein kleinlautes Sorry zu Dir rüber. Ich kanns mir halt nur nicht vorstellen.
