External Links Broken

phpwcms v.1.2.5

Hi all,

Something really odd is happening on my site: When I create links to external pages - i.e. in the article or redirect - they get rewritten and the http:// get's dropped.

For example: link goes to http://www.somesite.com/file phpWCMS would rewrite it to
http://www.mydomain.com/exit.php?url=ww ... %2Fmj70dlu...

Notice how it even changes the / to %2

Any clues?

PS: Can't find any pages called exit.php, apart from the ones in the phpOpenTracker and VTS folders.

where did you create the links! and how did you do it!?
also wich version did you use!?

Either pasting HTML code into the HTML content part (i.e. stuff I wrote earlier or Ad code from CJ, etc) or direct input into the redirect field.

uhm... slap me and call me a webmonkey but there was an exit.php with the VTS distribution which needed to be moved to the webroot of my install! d'oh

All good now as far as I can see. Sorry for wasting everyones time
