Using Articles as Structure Levels

Some time ago I tested some CMS that made slight differences between pages & structural levesl (categories, sections or however you want to call them), if I am not wrong they were Jetbox & Typo3.
Today that is the only feature that I really miss from those CMSs, so... why not to come to this forum and ask for something similar for PHPWCMS.
I realize that such a change in PHPWCMS would involve deep changes in the code (maybe even deeper than the ones that I presume with my superficial PHP knowledge) and that is a bit less than impossible if we think at short or medium term developments...
but I felt that this idea cuold be, perhaps, an appealing idea if we think in the (well expected) future PHPWCMS v3
