Patches and new versions

I downloaded the version of november 5th.
The latest patches were dated november 2.

But I do not know now if in my version the patches are already built in?
And am not quite sure on what patches to download?

Or can I without problems download the whole script and copy it over the already installed files?

Can you give a little explenation on this?

just my 2 cents,

everything is in the database and as long as you did not make any changes to any files, you can go ahead and upload the new ones.

remember to allways make a backup of your current installation (including the database) if you are not sure if this will fix your problem.

I was advised to download all the patches, but if I downloaded the original version on nov the 5th, do I still need the patch of nov the 2nd?

no you don't, but its faster to apply all the patches like Oliver said, so you are sure you don't break anything.
