Hi phalancs,
this is a lovely invention!
I wonder if it could be extended easily in a way that one can add additional labels and input fields to use it as a member appellation form for eg our non profit organisation (: will pay permonth/year/, will help out, kind of artwork, where to be seen.....)
(This could be accomplished with a simple email form too, but then one has to do all the input again)
And it would be nice too if it goes together with spreading different access rights ...
Greetings

Yes, the field adding thing.
I thought about something like its used in the e-mail contact form Content part.
As i wanted to have nearly zero changes to the phpwcms core, i tried to use the profile function (you know every use rcan create a profile and set it to public).
Unfortunately this function is not finished yet.

So at this point I temporariily keep stuck at the basic user information. But it can be added later on.

Wow!!! You're a madman, phalancs! First the front-end login work and now this. I'm very impressed and can't wait to try it out. I hope Mr. Georgi will see fit to integrate your work.

Hi
Does this work with your login content part?
Is it possible to have USER GROUPS? This would be a great feature.
Is it possible to direct unique users to a SPECIFIC page only based on username??
these would be great features...

Is it possible to have USER GROUPS? This would be a great feature.
Well, user groups - this is of course the overall target of any effort done here. But in this case, as I mentioned, I just wanted to add functionaility without hardcoding core files. So there are groups, as you can see the three standard groups, other groups would not yet make sense, as the backend "usergroups" function is still unter development by oliver g.
I think that most registered users would come into the same group, so I don't think theres much sense in switching the target group in admin, as you anyway do not know whos registering.
Does this work with your login content part?
Yes of course, this is why i called it part of the "frontend armada" content parts coming up
I planned to have:
- login-logout panel
- registering panel
- activation panel
- forgot password panel
At this point i managed to integrate the registering and the activation panels. This safes a lot of
click- and
think-work in admin.
Is it possible to direct unique users to a SPECIFIC page only based on username??
Do you mean redirect on successful registering? Well the account might not have been activated, so it doesn't make sense there.
If you mean redirection on log-in hm, than this question is not about this panel. the login-logout panel already has a rediretion, but not depending on username. Maybe usergroup would be more senseful. But because they are currently very limited, i didnt implement it so far.

i think something like this. you have a business site with 3 targets with its own login-area. lets call them "presse, händler, architekten". now when one logs in lets say with "presse" and his password he will be linked in the area "presse" with its own content. the "händler" gets another content when he logs in. excuse my bad english
cheers

@rushclub

Hi.
You don't even imagine how I would like to beta test this!!
The integration of this with your user panel + eventually a more complete registration form in order to obtain a little more info from the users would be a perfect match for my site!
I have to say that your script user panel is already a god saving!
That, exdata, vts and download counter make my site almost complete.
Just if I could stop using ccmail to gather user info and start doing that on the registration panel...
Keep up the good work and remember... if you need some beta testing just pm me.
Best regards
Pedro Fardilha

I am sorry, that it took a while.
I got a little bit stuck in spite of the changes of the new phpwcms versions.
Anyways the official phpwcms did not have any progress in this sector (registration). This is why i will finally release this script in October (not before the 13.10.06).
