I just have installed a SPAM-Blocker in my guestbook. You can test it with following entry in your Firefox browser config file.



If it works more then the next 48 hours, I will publish a video guide 'How to implant the SPAM-Blocker?'.

After you made the changes in your Firefox open this site: http://www.ballet-heels.com/guestbook.phtml

You got an 'ACCESS DENIED' with some helpful text, what can be the reason. (For users with installed viruses, intruders or hijacking programs.)

a little bit earlier as 48 hours the video file is ready for downloading and no new spam filled my guestbook. So I'm happy...

Ok now, the most of the users know that they can integrate the php script "Bad-Behavior". But everyone ask 'How we can stop the spam?'.

For all users: How to integrate the SPAM-Blocker? ~31.5MB

What you need?
1. Minimum the DivX Play package from http://www.divx.com/divx/play/download/. (Win2K/XP)
2. A player (DivX player comes within the DivX Play package.).
3. Minimum 800x600 pixel monitor resolution.
4. The URL for Step 1: http://www.ioerror.us/software/bad-beha ... -download/
Perhaps, the website is under Maintenance.
Then use: http://helpdesk.7ways.biz/bad-behavior-1.2.4.zip
or use http://helpdesk.7ways.biz/bad-behavior-1.2.4-mod.zip (modified bad-behavior-banned.php file - text modified)
5. The code for Step 2: 6. The Firefox browser for Step 3: http://www.getfirefox.com

ich wollte gestern abend auch deinen spam-blocker einbauen. schien ja an sich wirklich sehr einfach zu funktionieren, nur bekomme ich nachdem

eingebunden ist beim guestbook nur noch eine weisse seite angezeigt!??? keine Ahnung woran das liegen könnte!?? ich verwende die letzte phpwcms-version v1.2.6-DEV vom 14.12.2005 & habe die http://helpdesk.7ways.biz/bad-behavior-1.2.4-mod.zip einfach ins root/bad-behavior entpackt!

eigentlich wirklich ganz easy, aber es funzt leider irgendwie nicht!??

wäre für eine kleine hilfe zur rettung meines gästebuches dankbar!!

Da wüßte ich im Moment keine Option die Dir helfen könnte.
Bleibt Dir nur, die Pfade (root/bad-behavior...) noch mal durchzugehen und folge dem Video Guide Schritt für Schritt.

hab ich ja schon gemacht, anleitung ist ja auch wirklich easy!! kann es evtl. an irgendwelchen server-einstellungen liegen????

hmmm, sorry ... wenn man den kompletten pfad angibt gehts! wenn jemand noch das prob haben sollte, bei mir sieht das dann wie folgt aus:

i mean, if i test it with the userAgent googlebot i get the redirected site and google get it too, or not?!.

The video guide is just for the integration in the guestbook file. So all bots and Google etc. are stopped for the guestbook only.
I mean the guestbook doesn't have to be in the index of any search engine.

ich muss jetzt nochmal ein kleines kompliment loswerden: seit einiger zeit hab ich nun dein script in meinem gästebuch eingebunden ... UUUUND ... siehe, seit dem KEIN SPAM mehr!

Hi Leute,

ich habe mir mal den Film angeschaut.Scheint ja wirklich recht einfach implementierbar.
Was ich nicht verstehe, ist warum ich den Firefox verbiegen soll? und vor Allem weiß ich nicht was ich da verbiege. Heißt das, dass der Gästebuchschreiber nur mit (dem getunten) Firefox schreiben kann?

hehee, nee nee .. keine angst!! das firefox-"verbiegen" ist nur zur Demonstration, wie das Guestbook dann auf Spam-Bots reagiert!!!! den Schritt kannste also getrost überspringen!
