I was just thinking if this was an issue for those unsing one not the other.
eg, if GD2 is used then IM users may not be able to benefit.
it may also be the reason for some of the issues above

That's true, I have forgotten to mention it, because I thought that every PHP-installation should have GD/GD2 installed.

This MOD is dependent on GD, I think even GD2, but I am not sure.

I am not at home at the moment, but I can promise you that the next release of this MOD will bring some signifant improvements!

well, If you ar eimproving it can i make a sugeustion...
This may hurt a little, not a lot, but a little.

I was hoping your mod actaully performed a Letter/image replacement.
I was thinking for all the text within the repTag you searched for UPPERCASE and lower case letters along with numbers and special-chars then performed the image replacement. this way you could have the whole article/site in a custom font in only about 70kb per font. even cheaper if in the first instance of that font's useage you converted the whole character set and used the same graphics on every instance of that font being called via the repTags.

also a word to image replacment per article/site would be nice as an additional tag. So, if i could set a tag to replace every instance of a word with an image of my choosing (via a supplied path). very simmiler to {IMAGE:} but more like {WORDIMAGE}.
so that i could have ever instance of my name in an article apear as a picture of a Jackass if I so wished ;)

I have no idea, Frederik. We have tested the MOD together, I thought, and it worked then? You have GD included in your PHP so this can't be a problem.

I have changed something in the new release, perhaps this will resolve the problems. I am not at home at the moment (with a slow connection), so I can't upload the complete new release, but I will tomorrow night.

You could try to generate only images by playing with the fontizer.php-file, without using the mod.

Well... plans have changed again. My friends have moved the time for the easter dinner (do you call it so?) to 7 p.m. - so I will come back home just on monday. :)

But until then I want to show you a bit, so that you get "hungry" on the new release ;)

Jérôme:
Pls have a look at: http://www.kcomp.de/cms/
Here, the menu in created by using Olivers new row based navigation and your GT-Tag. The Article-Head is created the same way ... works fine but a little problem:
Watch the "Referenzen" Link... the image is not exactly the same high than the others... i played around with settings but couldnt find a solution. Then I tried "Referenzenp" because I had the idea hat this could be a solution (because the 'p') and it worked... so i guess the problem is that the font is not in the middle of the image... you know what I mean?

I see the problem, nekket, and you are right, this should be done better... I will try to correct this, I think, this week should be realistic...

@ nekket - nice work, perhaps you could post an instruction (a resume with a link to the hacks, instruction...) for all how to do this with an screenshot of your navigation, this could be interessting for everybody i think.
